Large Capacity Systems

The principle around which the functioning of a high performance heat pump is based isn't very different from that of the smaller scale systems used to heat family homes. The low potential residual heat can once again be removed from water, the ground or the air. In this case however, the natural source used to collect the residual heat must be able to generate a much greater yield.

For example, in the case of a water-water based system, the flow rate of the water source used to power the system must be much greater. Similarly, in the case of a ground-water based system with horizontal heat collectors, a larger ground area is required and more air flow is required for air-water based systems.
