By looking at our price list, you will immediately see that the retail prices of our commonly sold types of heat pumps vary only minimally with respect to capacity. This pricing concept, along with the use of special ZH type compressors, an oversized evaporator, an electronic expansion valve, etc., allows us to match the performance of the heat pump precisely to the heat loss for the given building, which practically eliminates any need to use the expensive to operate electric boiler.
The results of this approach are a more efficiently operating heat pump and lower operating costs. The electric boiler is still there but it only acts as a backup source, rather than as a secondary source of heat. Also, since some of the basic parts of the heat pump system are oversized, based on actual capacity requirements, any required increase to existing heat output (a building addition, a swimming pool, conservatory, etc.) is usually a relatively inexpensive change.
